Pier Luigi Rossi is Manager of the Private Equity team and Head of the Planning and Control Department of Banca Profilo S.p.A.

He was formerly Head of M&A Business Development of the Capitalia Group. In his role, Pier Luigi Rossi was responsible for the origination and execution of Capitalia’s main M&A projects, such as the UniCredit/Capitalia merger, the Capitalia/Fineco merger, the establishment of the bancassurance life and non-life JVs between Capitalia and CNP and Fondiaria SAI, respectively, the disposal of SAFEI, the acquisition of Cofiri, and the restructuring process of Capitalia. Pier Luigi Rossi was also responsible for the coverage of Capitalia’s FIG clients for M&A and advisory work.

Prior to this, he served as senior member of the Advisory Team at Mediocredito Centrale.

Before joining the Capitalia Group, he worked from 1997 to 2003 as Analyst in the Investment Banking and General M&A Execution and Advisory Group of Morgan Stanley in London, later becoming Associate in the European Financial Institutions Group, focusing on the Italian market. During this period, he was involved in several deals, including the acquisition of Bipop-Carire by Banca di Roma, the acquisition of Azimut by Apax Partners, the takeover of BAM by Banca MPS and the acquisition of Avery Berkel by Berkshire Partners.

He started his career in Value Partners Management Consulting.

He received a BA cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.
